Jean-Marc Hall
Post Industrial Nation by Jean-Marc Hall is a poetry collection containing a hard-hitting critique of society's ills, contradictions and also his personal memories of the past.
Influenced by the beat poets of the 50’s, this collection of 40 poems draws on the life experiences of Jean-Marc Hall; in the navy, as a boxing champion, in the band Kit 185, running a West London music venue, facing a life-threatening illness and his journey towards recovery.
Using simple, gritty language, reflecting his time growing up in London with a French mother and English father, Jean-Marc’s verse tells of the struggle facing the poor, dispossessed and mentally fragile.
